Start 4.0 rewards the CASTORE Project for the integration between port and city

The main axis of the National Industry 4.0 Plan, which provides for massive investments and incentives to support and grow Italian SMEs, are the eight centers of excellence: the Competence Centers. One of these is Start 4.0, based in Genoa, which ties together large public and private entities. Start 4.0, as well as the other Competence Centers, supports companies in technological and digital growth also through the provision of financing through the management of calls.

The last of these calls has awarded nine projects worth € 4 million. The third in the ranking is the CASTORE Project, which sees the collaboration of Gruppo SIGLA (leader) with important partners such as ABB, AMT and CNR. The goal is to create a solution based on the adoption of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis and Internet of Things tools and techniques, in order to optimize the management of passenger flows between the Port and Local Public Transport, in terms of operation and safety.

Given the extreme relevance of the theme of mobility for a complex reality such as the Genoese one and the highly innovative nature of the tools used, the digital version of La Repubblica has also recently spoken about it.
