Gruppo SIGLA acquired in January the CityScape project funded under the Horizon 2020 research program, called H2020-SU-DS-2018-2019-2020 (Digital security), topic SU-DS05-2018-2019. The high-level objectives of the CityScape project are summarized as follows:
Improve cybersecurity technologies in the multimodal passenger transport ecosystem at city level, addressing user concerns the terms of data privacy;.
Introduce risk analysis tools to identify threats and their propagation mechanism focusing on transport and digital infrastructures but also in further and relevant critical sectors highlighted by the NIS Directive, and assess the impact of a potential attack.
Improve the proactive approach to managing cybersecurity challenges and actively contribute to the predictability of threats in multimodal transport systems.
Increase the involvement of end users in the definition of multimodal passenger transport requirements regarding digital security, privacy and protection of personal data;
Further strengthen the role of CERTs / CSIRTs by providing them with direct notifications of observed cybersecurity incidents and facilitate collaborative investigations (among these authorities) on incidents, in line with the NIS directive.
Contribute significantly to multimodal transport standards and obtain experimental evidence on the feasibility of safety labeling in multimodal transport at city level.
Verify and validate the efficiency of the CityScape solution through large-scale pilot sites involving all relevant entities and the digital infrastructure of transport service providers.
Increase awareness of security and privacy, improve the skills of cybersecurity professionals, as well as regular users of multimodal transport, and raise awareness on the security and privacy of cyber risks at European level.
