The future of IT: sustainable digitization

The need for a sudden change in the relationship that modern man has with the environment in which he lives is now a topic that is understood and shared by all. We are witnessing a fourth industrial revolution whose protagonist is the digitization currently underway, which is further accelerated by the investments envisaged by the PNRR. It is up to us to make sure that this revolution actually leads to an ecological transition.

The meeting aims to start from here and the hot topics of sustainability will be explored by providing concrete examples in various areas of application.

What are we going to talk about?

During the morning some projects will be illustrated in which cutting-edge digital technologies Digital Enablers were used to create solutions for energy efficiency, environmental monitoring and energy production from renewable sources; these themes respond to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda within the Environment , Responsible Social and Governance. A round table discussion with various Managers will follow, who will illustrate how this issue is felt and addressed within different product sectors: Industry, Energy, Utilities, Transport, etc ...

The afternoon will be dedicated to the deepening of further issues according to the Agenda 2030 declined through the presentation of some R&D projects that foresee the use and development of 4.0 technologies in the sectors of the Green Economy, Smart Cities and Health. The day will end with a round table that will aim to highlight the fundamental role that Bodies / Institutions / Technological Poles /… have in supporting the sustainability initiatives undertaken by local businesses.
