Gruppo SIGLA in "Start 4.0" Competence Center
Gruppo SIGLA became part of the "Start 4.0" Security and optimization of strategic infrastructures 4.0 Competence Center, which is one of eight highly specialized national competence centers dedicated to Industry 4.0 issues, expected and financed from the Ministry of Economic Development.
Start 4.0 is a public-private partnership consisting of 37 companies, of which 24 are SMEs, and institutional actors: from the CNR (that is leader) to the Italian Institute of Technology at the University of Genoa, from the Chamber of Commerce to Confindustria Genoa. It will consolidate and enhance the collaborations and skills of the Genoese and Ligurian territory, involving numerous companies in the economic and entrepreneurial fabric. The reference sectors of Start 4.0 are energy, transport, water sector, digitalisation of the production system and port.
The Competence Center Start 4.0 develops as a strategic tool to support companies to face the challenges that the fourth industrial revolution poses, in a synergy between local and national subjects. In particular, the activities of Start4.0 will be focused on:
The association, which will be based in Genoa near the Morandi Bridge, will provide guidance and training to companies, as well as support in the implementation of innovation projects, industrial research and experimental development aimed at the creation, by the users, in particular of SMEs, of new products, processes or services (or their improvement) through advanced technologies in Industry 4.0.
