Gruppo SIGLA wins the Italian Project Awards 2022
Last May 4, during the Second Edition of the Italian Project Awards - an initiative conceived by the G11 Media Publishing Group which aims to reward the most innovative projects developed in the ICT field during the previous year - Gruppo SIGLA (a company of the Relatech group) was awarded as winner of the best project for the Public Administration. This important recognition was obtained thanks to CitySCAPE, a project co-financed by the European Commission and coordinated by the Athens Institute of Communications and Information Systems (ICCS), which involves a consortium of 15 partners, including the Mobility and Transport Company of Genoa (AMT) and Kaspersky Italia, as well as of course Gruppo SIGLA.
The quality jury justified the award by underlining that this project was "able to explore and enhance some dimensions of IT security applied to multimodal transport through the use of innovative technologies and at the same time to enhance the human factor through training content, in order to increase the level of expertise in user data security. A virtuous technological mix of security by design, detection, prevention, threat intelligence provided by a market reference vendor to guarantee and protect local public transport companies from interconnected cyber-threats. An innovation at the service of the citizen in which team play - vendor (Kaspersky) - partner (SIGLA Group) - customer (AMT) is a winner".
This recognition probably represents the best result achieved thanks to the synergistic relationship among all the Consortium's partners, starting with those engaged in the so-called "Genoa pilot" and those who were awarded at the prestigious Italian Project Awards. During the awards ceremony, the initiatives of the pilot were mentioned, recalling those focused on the development of mobile systems according to the security by design paradigm and those concerning cyber-security awareness practices for the world of multimodal public transport. Both of these initiatives formed the core of SIGLA Group's project activities.
In this sense, internally at Gruppo SIGLA the credit goes to the whole team, especially considering the colleagues who worked on mobile developments (Luca Tarchi, Fatma Elgallal, Laura Lo Gerfo), cyber-security awareness (Luca Prete, Simone Gelonese, Gabriele Lanteri), standardization elements (Cristiana Degano) and project management (Yuri Lechiara e Luca Bianconi).
